Brighouse Bay Holiday Cottages - Dog Friendly Self Catering in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway

We have three delightful self-catering cottages, a terrace of former farm workers cottages, overlooking the unspoilt bay of Brighouse, on the north Solway shore. The cottages are in a peaceful rural setting 2 miles from Borgue, and a bit further from Kirkcudbright, and they have expansive views over Brighouse Bay, the rolling Galloway hills and over the Solway to the Isle of Man. There is just a total of six properties on Brighouse Bay.

Our cottages, called Cormorant (4 star), Oyster-Catcher and Sand Piper are three attractive, comfortable, self catering cottages, fully equipped to identical standards, with all the facilities required for a family holiday.

The bay boasts magnificent views over the Irish Sea and is surrounded by 1200 acres of great walking country. Quiet rural roads make for safe cycling, and there is a free-to-use slipway closeby if you want to bring along your dinghy. At the head of the bay there is a safe sandy beach.
