Situated in the heart of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, Loch Ken Eco Bothies are beautifully equipped and furnished. Each with its own log burning hot tub and dedicated kayak, you'll have everything you need for your luxury wilderness retreat.

After a day out on the water or sampling the local activities, sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of something special in perfect peace, overlooking the beautiful shores of Loch Ken.

The original Bothies are off-grid modular pods designed and manufactured locally by Architect Sam Booth of "Echo" Eco Houses. The Eco Pods were featured on series 1 of Channel 4's "George Clarke’s amazing spaces". We are proud to say that two or our Bothies were the first off Sam's production line and the range has now grown to include two new luxury off grid buildings.

Red Kite (4 - 6 berth)
Whether it's a family reunion, a girls' holiday or break with the kids, Red Kite is the ideal space for your eco friendly holiday. The bothy has all the provisions of 5-star accommodation without compromising our environmentally friendly ethos. With lavish Egyptian Cotton linen, private wood-fired hot tub, outdoor seating area and it's own access to the Loch, Red Kite has everything you need for a unique family holiday in South West Scotland. Take the kayak onto the water and appreciate the stunning views, count the Red Kites swooping overhead and rest in peace and luxury at the end of the day. Bliss!

Red Squirrel (2 - 4 berth)
The Red Squirrel is the ideal base for your luxury holiday in Scotland. It boasts it's own private wood-fired hot tub, 400 thread Egyptian cotton linen and is completely off-grid, letting you totally relax during your stay. Beautifully furnished throughout using recycled and refurbished materials, the Red Squirrel provides a stylish and cosy getaway - the perfect location for your peaceful retreat. The Bothy has its own dedicated 2/3 seater sit on top kayak and private access to the foreshore. Explore the loch at dawn or dusk, experience the stunning views, the wildlife and the peaceful calm of South West Scotland.

The Otter (2 berth)
Nestled on its own private decking, complete with hot tub and secret lochan this one-of-a-kind eco cabin gives you complete privacy in complete luxury. The Otter sleeps 2 and is furnished and finished with style. Bespoke decor, Egyptian cotton sheets, and an outdoor dining area provide the ideal setting to relax and spend some quality time with your loved one. Secluded and serene, the Otter is the ultimate romantic getaway.

Constructed by local architects to our exacting specifications, the Osprey showcases cutting edge eco-technology and the latest in off-grid passive building principles.

Set against the hillside in harmony with the landscape, the mezzanine platform is the perfect location for taking in the view or spotting Red Kites, Deer and the ever-elusive Ospreys. Watch the sun going down over the Glen Kens and the Moon rising over the water from the panoramic window. Enjoy a soak in your private hot tub and complete your day by slipping into luxurious Egyptian Cotton sheets.
