Dog friendly self catering Dorset holiday cottages located in the heart of Hardy’s Dorset. Doles Ash Farm Holiday Cottages offers a relaxing break surrounded by beautiful countryside and set in 12 acres of West Dorset’s Piddle Valley. This family run Dorset self-catering holiday cottage complex offers 7 comfortable cottages, all of which have been sympathetically converted from former farm buildings. Our holiday cottages are clustered around a grass courtyard, along with the owners’ 18th-century house manor house, indoor swimming pool, tennis court and games room.



Close to Dorchester, Weymouth and Sherborne, Doles Ash Farm Cottages are located in a great position to explore Dorset, and are perfect for a relaxing holiday with family and friends or a short romantic break. The countryside surrounding the farm is glorious, and offers a network of footpaths direct from your door. This landscape was made famous by Thomas Hardy and Doles Ash features in his “Tess of the D’urbervilles” as Flint Comb Ash.

The Cottages
Doles Ash Farm Cottages are located in the heart of beautiful Dorset – open all year and available for short breaks. Located in a courtyard setting, each of our self-catering holiday cottages is well appointed and each has an outdoor seating area with table and chairs and FREE wifi. You may arrive anytime from 3.30pm (please let us know if you will be arriving after 10pm) and departure time is 10.00am.

All of our holiday cottages include the following:
Dedicated parking area (guests may drop off on arrival outside their holiday cottage but, for the safety of others, we ask cars to park in the parking area)
Welcome pack
Fully fitted kitchens with Dishwashers (fox cottage does not have dishwasher) fridge freezer and microwave – allowing for all your self-catering needs!
Lounge and dining area with TV, DVD player (DVD selection available)
Wood burning stoves in all cottages with a supply of logs



Free WIFI
All bed linen and towels are provided (beds will be made up prior to your arrival)
Travel cots and highchairs available by request
All electricity is included in our self-catering cottage hire price
We love dogs and we welcome 1 dog per holiday cottage, dog charges will apply. Please contact us if you have more than 1 dog
The Stables, Harvesters Cottage and Orchard House have a private small garden
All bookings are Friday – Friday apart from the ‘Orchard House and ‘Stable cottages which are Saturday – Saturday
Short breaks in our self-catering holiday cottages are available all year (apart from July and August )



Facilities
There are magnificent walks and cycling surrounding Doles Ash, while horse riding, golf, shooting and fishing are all available locally. Dogs are welcome and in the shared grounds there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings and in addition we have the following onsite facilities:

Indoor heated swimming pool
Games room with football table, ping pong table, toys, books, DVD library, family games and local information
Outdoor play field with picnic tables, play house, goal post and mini ride ons
Tennis court
Laundry with washing machines and coin operated tumble dryer, plus outdoor drying area
Please note there is a fenced pond in the grounds
