Monkton Wyld Holiday Park - Dog Friendly Holiday Park In Charmouth, Dorset

Monkton Wyld Holiday Park offers idyllic Camping and Caravanning in West Dorset.  We are three miles from the coastal village of Charmouth and the historic harbour town of Lyme Regis,  the centre of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.

The holiday park has 25 acres of beautifully landscaped and carefully maintained grounds within West Dorset’s ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. The park has been carefully planted with native woodland to divide the grounds into several separate small paddocks which provide an atmosphere of peace and quiet.

We have one dog walk area and a separate fenced paddock. Although dogs are free to run in the paddock, for obvious reasons, they must be on leads at all times when on the park. There is also a dog wash area to deal with those muddy paws. We also provide information on local beaches suitable for dogs and various nearby open land where dogs can enjoy a good run.

Children love the two play areas with plenty of space to run around.

We love to see your your pets! We understand their importance to you and your family. With two large dog walking areas there is lots of room for exercise.

Wi-Fi.There is a 100 mgb  high speed wi-fi coverage across the park with no download limits.

If this is your first visit, our staff will help with your particular requirements, whether it concerns bringing your pets, or the correct pegs to use on hardstanding pitches.

Got a favourite part of the park? Our reception staff will always try and get you where you want to be.  Feel free to put in a request and we will do our best to help, but always remember that on a busy park, there are lots of other guests also looking for that special spot, and when they find it, they sometimes stay for ages so it won’t always be available for you. So do ask, but no guarantees.

Our Park is general well lit, especially for the wash areas. It is advisable however to bring a torch and just in case you forget yours we do have them for sale in our on-site shop.

All purpose pitches suitable for large units & tents
All purpose hard standing pitches, suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes with 16 amp electric hook-ups. These pitches have proved a real success for guests needing extra room or a surfaced pitch that is suitable for tents.

Our shower and wash facilities which add greatly to quality of the park and experience for our guests. The building also provides full up to date disabled facilities and a dedicated family/parent and child room.
