“Beach is fabulous, clean and vast. Our Labrador had a fantastic run. The drinks and snacks at the Putsborough beach hut were very expensive, so only rated 4.”

“PALM OIL - WOOLACOMBE BEACH I recently visited woolacombe on the 3rd-8th march 2015 with my two terriers. It was on the beach that they both consumed an amount of palm oil which ended with a trip to the vets who confirmed that what they had eaten was extremely dangerous and toxic to dogs. they could have died if I had not acted quickly. They made a full recovery after vet treated them but ive been advised that it was critical that they were treated quickly and within the hour once they had injested the material. ”

“This is the best beach. Great for the dogs.”

“The beach is 2.5 miles of golden gently sloping sand and only a very small portion of this is dog restricted. Dogs can visit all year round and there are also loads of lovely walks nearby on national trust land (ie Baggy point, South West Coastal path). There are lots of great places to stay with your dogs in the area, like for example at my cottages, and all of the local pubs are dog friendly too. A great place to come for a holiday with your pooch!! ”
