Higher Wiscombe - Dog Friendly Accommodation In Southleigh, Devon

At the heart of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and the South West Coast Path.

Peaceful, secluded, stunning and set in our own beautiful 52 acre valley, four miles from beaches at Beer, Sidmouth and Branscombe, these Award-Winning Five Star Gold holiday cottages can accommodate from 6 to 32 people.

Every bedroom in each of the three cottages has an ensuite bathroom and, if required, all bedrooms can be large doubles. There is a heated outdoor pool in warmer months and cosy log-burners in Winter. Very dog friendly and eco, each cottage is well equipped, has a private garden and all have stunning rural views. Many great local foodie options.

Heated Pool
From Whitsun until the end of September guests are welcome to use the outdoor heated swimming pool, which is has stunning views over the valley and is situated in our private well-tended garden. As we have one very large cottage and two smaller cottages the pool is available to cottage guests for exclusive sessions in allocated slots. All the cottages have two and a half hours per day exclusive use in two sessions, when no-one from any of the other cottages will be using the pool. The slots are varied so that all sessions are shared equally between the cottages.

A Dicky bag, yes you get to keep it, comes with bio poo bags

Local Info
We are right at the heart of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for the South West Coast Path and Jurassic Coast, with it’s beaches at Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth, sailing at Exmouth and Lyme Regis and collecting fossils at Charmouth.

The East Devon Way can be accessed on foot from our property. It is an excellent base to explore the South West, within easy reach of numerous National Trust properties, RSPB reserves and Dartmoor.

In the cottages, guests receive details of the best local restaurants, local food shopping and take-aways as well as a comprehensive folder on everything to do locally. The tabs from this page will give you an idea of what is in store nearby.
