Saunton Sands - Dog Friendly Beach in Saunton, Devon
Saunton Sands is a west facing surfing beach, just below Croyde and almost three miles in length. It's in a stunning location, with the Braunton Burrows reserve immediately behind the beach.
There are toilets and parking to hand, excellent coastal walks and attractive villages nearby.
Care is needed when swimming, due to rip tides and a lack of lifeguards.
This beach has an unspoilt atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

Reviews
“Saunton Sands is lovely and very spacious to exercise a dog. Local bar is dog friendly too. Although, after socializing my dog usually on Exmouth beach, I found the dog owners at Saunton really unfriendly! I'd highly recommend Exmouth to anyone with a dog, everyone is so friendly and helpful there....”

“my dog was brutally attacked by a pitbull type dog on this beach nov 2018 she had extensive surgery and is very lucky she survived. not the safest of places to exercise your dog. rated this experience 1 because it wouldn't allow 0”
