Wonwell Beach is a tidal sand beach on the east bank of theRiver Erme and Estuary. We've positioned it on Google maps so zoom in on the 'satellite' setting to see its exact location. We'd also recommend referring to the Ordnance Survey Explorer OL20 'South Devon' map for detail. There's parking along the side of the road that leads from theModburyarea down to the estuary

“Have been going there for 45 years and nothing's changed. Beautiful. ”

“I always visit Wonwell beach when visiting Devon, a most beautiful, peaceful spot, full of interesting wildlife, lovely walks, beaches, it has everything. Nice that people can go there with their dogs, but why o why do these dog owners leave behind the poo their animals generate,it really is disgusting for the people who go to enjoy the scenery to be constantly dodging these heaps. It may be more helpful if there was a poo bin at the entrance to the beach, but I doubt it, these people think their dogs have an absolute right to foul the countryside and beaches....sad...”
