Situated in Ilfracombe harbour, near the beach, Ocean Backpackers is a great base to explore the stunning North Devon coast. Whether you’re visiting as a family, or as part of a group wanting private facilities, or if you’re wanting to share a dorm room, we have the accommodation to suit your needs.

Top floor apartment that can be rented as a self-contained flat with private kitchen
1 x 5 bed dorms en-suite and 1 x 8 bed with a shared shower (all dorm beds have USB ports, reading lamps and privacy screens.
Two doubles -one en-suite both with sea views
Three family rooms that each sleep 4 -one en suite.

Ilfracombe is a charming coastal town with a contemporary edge, a burgeoning Arts scene and many quaint shops and galleries. It is also home to “Verity” the majestic 20m sculpture by Damian Hirst. It offers a range of eateries from Michelin rated fine dining to fish & chips in the harbour. Nestled between Exmoor National Park to the east and the Golden Coast to the west, with its spectacular surfing beaches of Woolecombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands. All a short drive from Ocean Backpackers.
lfracombe is situated within a designated National Landscape (formally AONB Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). On the cusp of Exmoor National Park, it’s a walkers paradise with many spectacular walking trails in particular the South West Coastal Path, offering unspoilt natural beauty, peace and tranquillity.
