About
I began my career as a dog trainer in the RAF, and followed this working as a Police Dog Handler. I've been helping dogs and their owners now for over 25 years!
I'm a Member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and studied at The Northern Centre of Canine Behaviourists in Durham.
I give consultations, assessments, and training to clients on an individual basis at their home address. I regularly receive referrals from Vets and have given consultations and counselling to Veterinary Hospitals and Surgeries.
I have been called upon as an 'expert witness' for court cases involving dog offences.
I have trained owners and dogs in Canine Water Rescue work throughout the country, with special reference to Newfoundland dogs. I enjoy visiting with dogs to disabled children in schools, and have worked with Children's Hospices which always prove to be very worthwhile experiences.
If you think you may benefit having professional help with your dog, please give me a call for more information.

“I guarantee you won't meet a nicer, more knowledgeable, more competent trainer than Keith. My 18 month old labrador, Jura, is lovely by nature, wants to please, but I, having not had a puppy for over 40 years, have not given him the training he needed!! Keith has made training fun & both me and the dog are better off because of it: After the 2nd lesson it was like saying goodbye to an old friend. Many thanks Keith!! ”

“It is clear that Keith absolutely adores dogs. He has a special gentle way of training with outstanding results. Mabel our Newfoundland puppy is a changed dog under Keith's encouraging guidance overcoming various puppy issues. Keith is also doing some agility work and work in water with Mabel. She literally lights up when she sees him! We find him so easy and understanding to work with. I would recommend Keith for any dog and any issue. He is an experienced trainer with immense patience always putting the welfare and happiness of the dog first.”

“Keith is a very knowledgeable and experienced dog trainer. Very friendly, very patient with dog and owners! He not only gave advice and tips on how to deal with issues we were experiencing with our dog but demonstrates how to deal with them too going forward. Would highly recommend. ”

“Keith is part dog, part human, but with a bias toward dog. Our border had some issues following a slightly tough start in life, which meant that early socialisation and training just weren't possible. Keith help not only train our dog, but also train us to train our dog too, with some amazing results. He trained in a way that is fun, easy to remember, and sticks with the dog. We would highly recommend Keith and his friendly and entertaining style.”

“A super positive experience. Keith really understands both dogs and humans and was great with our highly strung cockapoo. He gave clear and tangible advice to us that has really helped both us and our dog. While we still have a ways to go with training, Keith's insight was invaluable. Highly recommend!”
