17 The Lanes - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Matlock, Derbyshire
17 The Lanes, a sympathetically refurbished ex miners cottage provides character with modern convenience. It has a cosy lounge with log burner, well fitted kitchen and a peaceful and secure garden for relaxing with a glass of wine or local beer. Situated a short walk from Wirksworth, there is fabulous walking and cycling from the door step.
The cottage was purchased in 2018 and underwent a sympathetic refurbishment before opening as a holiday cottage in April 2019. It now combines character with modern convenience and provides a real home from home.
The high peak trail is on our doorstep along with glorious walking and cycling.
Wirksworth is a small market town on the edge of the Peak District. Nestled in the Bolehill area high above the town, 17 The Lanes is perfectly located for exploring Wirksworth and the surrounding Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. Matlock, Ashbourne, Bakewell, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth are all within very easy reach and Carsington Water is only a mile away.
