Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway - Dog-friendly days out in Ravenglass, Cumbria
Enjoy a seven-mile journey from the coastal village of Ravenglass to the heart of the Lake District National Park, offering spectacular views over the estuaries and countryside with England's highest mountains forming the backdrop.
There are great walks on offer from either end of the line and the seven intermediate request stops.
Dogs are welcome on board in all carriages except our Pullman Observation Carriage 'Joan' and our 'Ruth' Director Saloon.
£2.50 for an all-day dog ticket or why not try our new 'Railway Rover' ticket, allowing 12 months of unlimited travel for your four-legged friend, as well as their own railway bandana! £2 from each 'Rover' ticket sold will go to supporting Oaktrees Animal Sanctuary and Wainwright Shelter.
Dogs are welcome on the lower level of Fellbites (our contemporary eatery on the platform at Dalegarth for Boot station) and the ground floor of the Turntable Café but are not permitted upstairs in either venue.
‘Paws for a Drink' water bowls at both main stations. Plus, there is a jar with free dog treats on the ticket office counter.
There is also a selection of dog-friendly local pubs and inns within walking distance of both stations, including The Ratty Arms at Ravenglass.
