The dog friendly Westmorland Hotel lies between Penrith and Kendal on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by dramatic Cumbrian fells. Just off the M6 motorway, our tranquil and secluded location is surprisingly convenient.

Our flexible menu features hearty meals and quick snacks, which can be enjoyed across the hotel. Whether you're curled up in the lounge or enjoying the restaurant's panoramic upland view, you can relax in the knowledge that our kitchen and front-of-house teams are taking every precaution to keep you safe.

We love food and we think food is important - how it's sourced, how it's made and how it looks and tastes. We work with a network of local producers, including our own family farm, to bring you delicious dishes to enjoy in our Restaurant or by the fire in our Lounge.

Our Dog Friendly Rooms
We are delighted to be able to offer a selection of dog friendly bedrooms here at the hotel. It’s hard to leave your faithful friend behind when you book a break away so we are happy to welcome your well behaved dog in our Classic pet rooms.

We love to welcome dogs in our classic pet rooms. For £15 per pet, per night (or £25 for 2 pets per night), you’ll find bowls and lily’s kitchen treats ready for you to use in your room. please notify our reservations team at time of booking.

All we ask is that in the interest of our other guests, please do not to allow your dog in our restaurant or lounge areas.
