Dog Friendly Camping & Glamping in Cumbrian Mountains, Cumbria

We have three luxury glamping cabins, five holiday caravans and a cosy holiday cottage available to rent, which are nestled in the valley looking up at the Wasdale and Eskdale fells. We are open all year! 

The accommodation is surrounded by fields and woodland, perfect for exploring, playing and den building or simply sitting and observing the rich wildlife that surrounds us. Low level walks and the high fells are all accessible from our doorstep as well as an array of interlinking bridleways for mountain biking and horse riding.

Parkgate Farm is a hidden gem in the Western Lakes where all you can hear is birdsong, the wind in the trees and the occasional braying of one of our donkeys.

Camping
Parkgate Farm offers a choice of nine large camping pitches including five with electric hook-up (Pitches 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7), plus one camping pod and use of all amenities including family shower rooms, separate toilets, washing-up area, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Parking for one car is available directly next to each pitch.
We welcome a maximum of two well-behaved dogs, which are not allowed to stray onto other pitches.
We do allow BBQs with legs that are raised off the ground. Due to fire risk, no disposable BBQs are allowed.
A picnic bench is provided on each pitch so you can dine outdoors.

We now sell BBQ coals, firewood and S’Mores packs which include marshmallows, chocolate digestives and skewers
No electric tent/awning heaters permitted. Gas heaters available to hire on-site

Glamping
These are two bedroom cabins comprising one double and one triple bedded room. There is a shower room and an open plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle.

There is an outside eating area and a BBQ is provided.

The cabins are fully insulated and heated, plus an electric wood burner in the living area.

Holiday Caravans
We also offer a choice of five holiday caravans, which are all fully insulated and centrally heated.  They have a private raised decked patio area with lovely views towards the surrounding fells, which is ideal for eating outdoors.

Holiday Cottage
An idyllic three bedroom self catering holiday cottage with wonderful views of the surrounding Lake District Fells. Harter Cottage is situated within its own private garden beneath a beautiful eucalyptus tree. The living room and two of the three bedrooms look out towards the fells.
