Dog Friendly Self Catering Accommodation in Cumbrian Mountains, Cumbria

We have three luxury glamping cabins, five holiday caravans and a cosy holiday cottage available to rent, which are nestled in the valley looking up at the Wasdale and Eskdale fells. We are open all year!

The accommodation is surrounded by fields and woodland, perfect for exploring, playing and den building or simply sitting and observing the rich wildlife that surrounds us. Low level walks and the high fells are all accessible from our doorstep as well as an array of interlinking bridleways for mountain biking and horse riding.

Parkgate Farm is a hidden gem in the Western Lakes where all you can hear is birdsong, the wind in the trees and the occasional braying of one of our donkeys.

Harter Cottage (sleeps 6)
An idyllic three bedroom self catering holiday cottage with wonderful views of the surrounding Lake District Fells. Harter Cottage is situated within its own private garden beneath a beautiful eucalyptus tree. The living room and two of the three bedrooms look out towards the fells.

There is a spacious living and dining room with patio doors that open out onto the garden and terrace area with outdoor seating, which is ideal for dining outdoors on those warm, sunny evenings.
There is a fully equipped kitchen including oven, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The cottage is dog friendly and we welcome up to two well behaved dogs by prior arrangement.

Families are welcomed (including children) and cot and high chair are available on request.

Holiday Caravans
We offer a choice of five holiday caravans, which are all fully insulated and centrally heated.  They have a private raised decked patio area with lovely views towards the surrounding fells, which is ideal for eating outdoors.

All of the holiday caravans are of the same high standard, but there are some subtle differences:

Whin Rigg (sleeps 6)
Our largest holiday caravan which has three bedrooms including a double with en-suite WC, plus two twins. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room (most suitable for children). There is a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer. Double opening patio doors lead out onto the decked patio which looks towards the fells.

Irton Pike & Latterbarrow (sleeps 4)
Both have two bedrooms including a double with en-suite WC and a twin. There is a small double sofa bed in the living room (most suitable for children). The kitchens are well equipped with large fridge/freezers. Double opening patio doors lead out onto the decked patio which looks towards the fells.

Mecklin & Tinkler Craggs (sleeps 4)
Both have two bedrooms including a double and a twin. There is a small double sofa bed in the living room (most suitable for children). The kitchens are well equipped. Spacious living area with stunning views. Private raised decked patio which is ideal for eating outdoors.

FREE Sunday Night Offer
Our standard changeover days are Friday and Monday, but anyone who books a Friday and Saturday night weekend break has the option to stay for FREE on Sunday evening.

Even if you can't stay the extra night there is no need to rush off on Sunday. You are welcome to use the facilities right until you leave.

Camping
Parkgate Farm offers a choice of nine large camping pitches including five with electric hook-up (Pitches 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7), plus one camping pod and use of all amenities including family shower rooms, separate toilets, washing-up area, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Glamping
These are two bedroom cabins comprising one double and one triple bedded room. There is a shower room and an open plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle.
