Holiday Cottages Cumbria – Luxury Holiday Cottages in Cartmel, Cumbria
Cartmel Hill is a stunning, large country house nestled in the hills above Cartmel village, South Lakeland, Cumbria. This luxury, dog‑friendly property sleeps 10 adults plus 2 infants in 4 double bedrooms, with an optional 5th bedroom available (for extra charge), and offers 3 bathrooms (2 en‑suite), perfect for family or group escapes.
The traditional 18th‑century stone barn conversion is finished to a very high standard with Farrow & Ball colours and oak beams. Two roaring log fires—one in the first‑floor living room and one in the dining room—create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, framed by spectacular views across Cartmel Valley to Morecambe Bay.
The spacious kitchen features handcrafted oak shaker-style cupboards, granite worktops, a large range cooker with 4 gas burners plus wok burner and twin ovens, two fridges, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a Nespresso Original coffee machine.
Sleeping arrangements include two upstairs king‑sized bedrooms with French doors opening onto a veranda overlooking the valley, plus two downstairs doubles (one super‑king zip‑link), all with private bathrooms. The optional 5th bedroom is available on the ground floor at an additional nightly charge.
