Mill Valley Yurts - Dog Friendly Glamping in Wadebridge, Cornwall

Mill Valley began in 2008 where it all started from an empty field. Neil and Lisa created this beautiful retreat from scratch, from building each accommodation to planting over 1,000 trees of many different varieties. It is always an ever-evolving project, so any returning customers can watch as the journey unfolds.

We set this business up, partly because we realised there was a gap in the market for a truly unique holiday experience and partly because we wanted to build a business based upon our principles of minimal environmental impact - specifically in the tourist industry. We think we have, or have planned, to do everything within the business that is both carbon neutral and environmentally sustainable.

Pets
We know that for dog owners, it just isn’t a holiday without your best friend! The site has an acre and a half of secure land...a huge garden for (well behaved) dogs to play in off the lead!

Walks
Just a short walk down the path, you are immersed in a beautiful woodland walk, where there is a natural swimming pool (that your dog will guarantee to love, too!). In spring, expect to see blue bells. You may also catch the sight of a kingfisher, also!

Beaches
Not only are we situated in such beautiful surroundings, but we are also only 15 minutes away from the coastline. We recommend catching the sunset at New Polzeath, or taking your dog to Daymer Bay.

Washing
Here you will find 3 wood fired showers, and 1 wood fired bath -  Each accommodation has it’s own private composting loo. We recommend that the wood fired bath is best accompanied with candles and a glass of wine!

No electricity
Our aim is to be as eco friendly as we can. Wood burners will keep you nice and toasty as the evenings draw in, and your accommodation will be lit with either solar lights or tea lights. 1 tub of logs is provided free of charge - there is more available to buy on site.

Cooking
Staying true to off grid nature, all cooking facilities at Mill Valley are wood fired. Each accommodation is kitted out with a indoor wood burning stove and outdoor BBQ. Pots, pans, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, cutlery and a kettle provided!

Eating out
Just 3 miles in the local town, Wadebridge, you will find the Saltbox with a selection of street food choices in a converted shipping container (Laidback Coffee, Woody’s Pizza, Spicesea Indian, Craftworks Mexican, Graze Tapas, Rooftop Gin Bar). Other recommendations include The Malsters Arms at Chapel Amble, Tiny Thai, St Kew Farmshop Cafe.
