Porthchapel - Dog Friendly Beach in St Buryan, Cornwall

This is a quiet beach, tucked away between the better known Porthcurno and Porthgwarra options.

Parking is in a field at the nearby church, about five minutes or so away.



There is the familiar large block granite setting, with a steep, tricky descent to the beach itself, next to a scenic waterfall (see photos, below).

The whole stretch of the South West Coast Path here is outstanding, theatrical even, with its jewelled beaches and constant assaults on the senses, tempered with the salt air from the Atlantic.

Highly recommended.
