Summerhouse Gallery

The Summerhouse Gallery is a beautiful, welcoming space showcasing the very best of Cornish art in Marazion. Located only a stone's throw away from the wonderful St Michaels Mount, we aim to create the perfect place to discover paintings, jewellery, sculpture and glass in a relaxed manner.

Our artists vary from the extremely established to the young and up and coming. Regardless of reputation, we can put our hands on our hearts and tell you that each piece has been placed on the wall for one simple reason - we love it!

The beauty of art is in its ability to connect. This is the ethos that sits at the core of the Summerhouse. It's difficult to explain that exact moment when a painting captures your imagination, stops you at a standstill and stirs up the rawest of emotions. It's quite impressive really that something sitting so still on a wall can instigate such dynamic energy, activating joy and optimism, and recalling precious memories.

If you are looking for a painting then we may well have the piece that's going to connect with you. We will do everything we can to guide, inform and advise as you step into our wonderful world of Cornish treasures. Most importantly however, we won't uncomfortably push you towards something that isn't quite right for you. You won't find us encouraging you to rush a decision that is very personal and can often be on the expensive side. What we can promise is that we will be here to help, welcoming you in to share our enthusiasm for the pieces that surround us. 

We believe that the right painting often finds the right person. We've seen it happen time and time again. It's a wonderful thing to witness. Next time you're in the area with your beloved pooch, do pop in and say hello! We have a childrens table in the corner for our mini artists and a dog bowl full of water outside for our furry friends.
