Dropped Anchor Sea View Camping - Dog Friendly Campsite in Helston, Cornwall

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty come and experience peace and tranquillity with outstanding views of the south Cornwall coast. Dropped Anchor is an off grid site giving you that experience of wild camping but with the luxury of fabulous facilities.

The Camp Site
A simple and uncomplicated site ideal for those looking for relaxation and stunning scenery, the only sounds to break the peace and quiet are the cows and birds or the tractor from our neighbouring farm.

With 15 generous sized pitches, all having their own fire pit, picnic bench and with amazing views out to sea.

New for 2022 we have 5 smaller pitches dedicated to just walkers and cyclists.

Our Facilities
Guests visiting Dropped Anchor will find all the facilities they need for a comfortable stay. New for this season 2022 we have had an extra shower put in, hot water in our dish wash area and a lovely shepherds hut with 2 extra toilets.

Toilets & Showers
On site we have 2 lovely free hot showers rooms with a toilet in each. New for 2022 we had a fabulous addition to the campsite a shepherds hut with 2 more toilets a lovely quirky feature to Dropped Anchor’s facilities.

 We also have a gentlemen’s urinals and a CDP (chemical disposal point) for touring Caravans and Motorhomes.

Recreational Area
We have a large area in the centre of the field where children, kids and adults can all join in on some well deserved recreational time.

The area is big enough for all to enjoy ball games, frisbees, tick, kite flying etc.

Shop
We have a small shop on site that sells firewood, kindling, BBQ coal, chocolate marshmallows, local crafts, Dropped Anchor merchandise and some essential camping items. When the shop is closed there is an honesty box that sells that all important fire pit wood, kindling and marshmallows.

Beautiful Beaches
There are endless beautiful beaches here on the south coast, the closet to the Dropped Anchor is Rinsey cove, Praa sands and Porthleven, with a small journey in the car you have Kenneggy sands, Perranuthnoe, Marazion, Church cove, Dollar cove, Poldu cove, Sennen, Porthcurno the list goes on, then not forgetting the beautiful beaches of St Ives and Hayle.

The famous Kyannce cove is about 12 miles away with its stunning beach.
