Pheasant's Roost is a perfect shepherd's hut retreat for couples who are looking for a quiet, romantic location. Our guests love the wood-fired hot tub, the beautiful country views, and the cosy log burner inside. The shepherd's hut sleeps 2 guests in a comfortable double bed. There's an en-suite with a surprisingly powerful shower, a kitchenette with a butler sink, fridge, microwave, and 2 ring hob plus all the essential crockery and pans you'll need to rustle up a meal. A fold-down table and 2 dining chairs lets you dine whilst admiring the Yorkshire views of fields and woodland. Outside the shepherd's hut is a bbq, firepit, bistro table and 2 reclining chairs, and of course the wood-fired hot tub. Many of our guests opt to have the hot tub pre-heated for the first night of their arrival so they can start to relax as soon as they arrive. The shepherd's hut sits in a small paddock, in the small village of Thorpe Bassett. The traditional market town of Malton is 5 miles away and is great for exploring the independent shops and cafes which help give the town the title of Yorkshire's Food Capital. The Hairy Bikers visited some of the artisan food producers and featured them on a recent series. Castle Howard, Flamingoland, Woldies Lavender Farm and Scampston Hall are very close by. The shepherd's hut is situated about half a mile from the A64 which runs from York to Scarborough, giving easy access to explore the beaches of East Coast, the North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Wolds and the City of York. Whitby is also a popular destination with visitors. To book your shepherd's hut stay please visit https://yorkshireshepherdshut.co.uk/
