Love is Blind - £125 per night Bed and Breakfast
This ground floor room has stunning views out across the Dale and a small, but perfectly formed, en-suite shower room with underfloor heating. Please note the bed is a standard double with a footboard so probably not the best for tall people.
Dogs are not permitted in this room.
Badger - £170 per night Bed and Breakfast
On the second floor, this room has a wonderful French standard double bed (gorgeous but not great for taller people), soaring ceilings with exposed beams and exquisite views out over Penhill and down Bishopdale. There is a cast iron bath in the room and an en-suite shower room with underfloor heating. On the wall is a papier mache sculpture by the artist David Farrer of a badger, in a gas mask, which makes perfect sense with all this TB around!
Dogs are not permitted in this room. Please note that because of the vaulted ceiling, the wall between the bathroom and bedroom is a partition wall and might not be suitable for couples who prefer total privacy.
Kes - £170 per night Bed and Breakfast
A light-filled room on the first floor with a king-size four poster bed and a large bay window with views out across Wensleydale to Penhill. On the wall is a print by the brilliant photographer Tony Briggs which was inspired by the film Kes. There is an en-suite shower room with underfloor heating. Dogs allowed.
Cowboy Balance - £200 per night Bed and Breakfast
This enormous room on the second floor has a king-size bed and truly amazing views. There is a cast iron bath in the room and an en-suite shower next door with underfloor heating. A day bed can easily be made up for an extra person. Depending on occupancy, we can sometimes also make up a camp bed for a child under seven. On the walls are three prints by the artist Tom French. Dogs allowed.
Shotgun Clare - £185 per night Bed and Breakfast
On the second floor, this tranquil room with a king-size bed has amazing views out of two velux windows over the Dales. There is a cast iron bath in the bedroom and an en-suite shower room with underfloor heating. Above the bed is is a print by Ceal Warnants. Dogs allowed.
Lovebirds - £185 per night Bed and Breakfast
A beautiful room on the first floor with a king-size bed and gorgeous views out over to Bolton Castle and Penhill. The bathroom has a cast iron bath, two basins and large walk-in shower. A print by the artist Copyright hangs on the wall. Dogs allowed.
Like Wow Man - £185 per night Bed and Breakfast
A large room with a king-size bed on the first floor with great views out over Penhill. There is a simply enormous bathroom with two basins, a beautiful cast iron bath and luxurious walk-in shower. On the wall are two prints by the British artist Dan Baldwin. Dogs allowed.
Welcome to Stow House
Stow House is a boutique bed and breakfast set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The bedrooms are dreamily comfortable and the bathrooms wonderfully indulgent.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and pre-ordered the night before, we will allocate time slots to suit you. The bread and granola are homemade, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed in our kitchen. All the produce is locally sourced, plus we can cater for any diet.
Between 6 pm-7 pm, we shake up some punch-packing favourites from the Savoy Cocktail book for just £9.50 a pop which can be served in the sitting room or library. We have a well-stocked honesty bar if you would like a drink at any other time.
For dinner, the Aysgarth Falls Hotel serves good food and is just 300 yards up the road. The Wheatsheaf in Carperby is another walkable option across the fields in the summer, it takes about 20 minutes and is a great pub with very friendly service. Plenty of other excellent restaurants are a short drive away - we're very happy to arrange a taxi for you.
We welcome dogs in all our rooms except Love is Blind and Badger. Just let us know if you would like to bring your four-legged friend.
