One of a number of forts built in the 1850s and 1860s to protect Portsmouth and its vital harbour against a French invasion. Largely unaltered, the keep, the parade ground, gun ramps, moated keep, washrooms and armoury can all be viewed.

Opening times: Fort Brockhurst is open from 11am to 3pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month between April and October.
Parking: The car park is 60 metres from the Fort entrance and access from the car park to the Fort entrance is level and accessible. A £2 parking charge for non-members is payable by text. Parking is free for Members with a valid English Heritage car sticker on display. If you would prefer to pay in advance of your visit, please visit our parking payment service website.
Access: Disabled access is only possible to the grounds and ground floor.
Dogs: Dogs on leads are welcome
