If you are looking for a holiday cottage in Dollar, look no further than the beautiful Arndean Cottages located at the Mains of Arndean. In a glorious rural setting with spectacular long distance views to the Trossachs, our holiday cottage enjoys a very good location, being within 45 minutes drive of Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Glasgow. Furthermore, our self catering holiday cottages offer a quiet setting on a private estate. There are two 4 star self catering holiday cottages which can be booked together sleeping 14 or separately for smaller parties with Ochil sleeping 8 and Blashie sleeping 6. Blashie cottage is also level 2 disability compliant.

Ochil Cottage (Sleeps 8)
If you are looking for a large holiday cottage in Dollar, look no further than the beautiful Ochil cottage located at the Mains of Arndean. This old barn has been recently converted into a 2 storey cottage and refurbished to the highest standards.  As well as being located in a tranquil setting, the local areas are not short of things to do, making our Ochil cottage the perfect choice for a countryside break.

Another great thing about Ochil is the garden, which is enclosed and is ideal for dogs. Also, the car park can take up to 6 cars which means plenty of parking space for larger groups. There is a games room, shared with Blashie Cottage, and it has a table tennis table, darts board as well as a football game. In addition to the games room, there is a lovely garden which has a table and chairs. There is also a good wifi connection throughout the cottage. There is also electric heating which is very efficient. Also, towels and bed linen are provided.

Blashie Cottage (Sleeps 6)
If you are looking for a countryside holiday home in Dollar, look no further than our beautiful Blashie cottage, located in the tranquil Mains of Arndean. This single storey barn has also been recently converted and refurbished to an extremely high standard.  As well as being located in a tranquil setting, the local areas throughout Clackmannanshire are not short of things to do, making our Blashie cottage the perfect choice for a countryside break. Blashie cottage is also level 2 disability compliant.

Another positive thing about Blashie is the garden, which is enclosed and is ideal for dogs. There is also private parking at Blashie, and the car park can take up to 6 cars. There is a games room, shared with Ochil Cottage, and it has a table tennis table, darts board as well as a football game. Even though we are in the countryside, there is a good wifi connection. The Bothy at Arndean (Sleeps 2)
This delightful cottage enjoys a very convenient location, being within 45 minutes drive of Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Glasgow. In a quiet setting situated on a private estate. Forming 1 side of an attractive courtyard, opposite the owner’s home on their country estate, Stylish furnishings, bright interior design and generous use of space make this cottage a relaxing and comfortable retreat after a day spent exploring the delightful surrounding area or participating in the wide range of outdoor activities. Fishing, shooting, hillwalking, ancient castles and battlefields and golf are all nearby. Several excellent restaurants are within 3 miles. The town of Dollar with good shopping is 2 miles away.

This cottage has been recently refurbished to high standards. The entrance hall leads into a fully fitted kitchen/eating room and utlility room/boot room with door to the terrace/garden. There is one shower room/wetroom with a shower, basin and WC. It is a level one cottage for disabled guests.

The Local Area
The Ochil Valley in Central Scotland is home to our countryside cottages, Ochil and Blashie. The cottages are ideal for those who wish to explore the Highlands as well as the cities. Scotland’s major cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour of our cottages. The cottages are 2 miles from the village of Dollar which has a range of shops, including a supermarket, butcher as well as a baker. The towns of Alloa and Kinross are within 10 miles, both with food shops and many other things to do.
