With our Marple clients our favourite dog walk is what we like to call the two park walk.

Parking in the library car park, a mere 30 p for two hours you can go straight into Memorial Park, in the morning its quiet enough to let your doggy off the lead, one side of it has a nature path and behind that the peak forest canal.

After a lap or two or Memorial Park you head to the furthest right hand corner or juts follow the main path which eventually brings you onto the canal turn left and after a few yards your at Station Road. Take care as this can be a busy road with no pedestrian crossing.

Your then back on the tow path of the peak forest canal, you can turn right passing the tennis courts and the lane takes you over the railway and into Brabyns, we prefer to take a sharp left after we turn right off the canal which brings you straight into a huge woodland, walking through the woods with the canal above you and Brabyns Park to the bottom of you eventually your in the furthest corner of Brabyns a nice meadow with the river Goyt flanking one side of it, great for a doggy paddle.

“Went today and had a great walk with our 2 large dogs. Plenty of woods for the dogs to explore, but with good solid pathways for us. Out for over an hour still left lots of the park to explore next time !”
