Dog Friendly Walks in Alsager, Cheshire
The Saltline is a disused railway that is 3k long. It can easily be linked to walks along the Trent & Mersey Canal and Wheelock Rail Trail. The Saltline can be popular at time with cyclist, walkers and horse riders but you can often find it quiet of other walkers. The Saltline starts in Alsager but the only car park access is at the indicated point in Hassall Green. Beside the saltline in Alsager is Borrow Pit Meadow, a beautiful green meadow space and a lake with a series of walks around it.Contact Saltline
Reviews
“I walk here most mornings .. Borrow Pit Meadows is beautiful all year round with the changing seasons ..lots of lovely wildflowers and birds. Plenty of people walk their dogs here and around the lake which is also very lovely with ducks and moorhens on the water and the Heron is often seen waiting to swoop down after fish. The Saltline is very popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders and has picnic benches and is nice and leafy and shady in the summer months.”
