Holidays for Dogs - Dog Friendly Cottage in St Clears, Carmarthenshire

At our dog-friendly cottage here at Holidays for Dogs we don't just tolerate dogs - we welcome them free of charge! Our lovely, quiet, self-catering cottage in St Clears, Carmarthenshire, is self-contained, with its own secure enclosed garden, on an almost traffic free private lane, but still close to dog-friendly beaches, attractions and amenities. Dogs need holidays too!
Kind owners take their dogs on holiday with them. Reward your dog (or dogs) for their years of loyal service keeping you company and guarding your home. Such loyalty deserves to be rewarded, and where better than where the walks start right outside your door.

Can I really take my dogs on holiday?
The bigger the dogs, the bigger the welcome! We pride ourselves on being very dog-friendly. If you have a large dog, or several companions, then you'll know that it's almost impossible to find suitable accommodation. We welcome up to five well-behaved, fully house-trained dogs of any breed and size.

Beaches, attractions, coastal paths, towns, villages...
There's plenty for humans as well! Carmarthen (the oldest town in Wales) is close at hand with its array of shops and historic buildings. The local town is St. Clears, providing all the essentials for a great holiday, and some luxuries that you wouldn't expect!The closest beach is Pendine Sands, 7 miles of glorious sand, and dog friendly.

Holiday or short break?
In the summer, Holidays for Dogs offers memorable week long holidays for you and your dogs. In the spring, autumn, or winter, this lovely self-catering cottage is also available for short breaks (minimum 3 nights). Please contact us for details.

Dog friendly garden
The cottage has its own fully enclosed secure garden, with floodlighting so there's no need to get dressed in the middle of the night to take the doggies out. There's possibly no nicer way to pass a summer's evening than just sitting in the garden, enjoying a bottle of good wine with a few nibbles while the dogs enjoy the peace and calm of the countryside. Dogs will enjoy playing on the large lawn and the dog-friendly planted borders.

Spacious dwelling
If the weather isn't quite right for sitting outside, then there's plenty of space inside.   To keep things simple the lounge has a stone floor and mats to keep cleaning easy. Note that we don't provide dog beds as everyone's dogs are different but throws are provided for the sofas. Plenty of room for dog crates in both the lounge and kitchen/diner should you bring any.The door opens onto our private, no-through lane, with the main road some 150 yards away, so dogs wandering out are seldom in danger. The lane is infrequently used by just the odd tractor or delivery vehicle so just a little care is still required.
