Ceridwen Centre - Self Catering Accommodation in Drefelin, Carmarthenshire
Few places offer as many options in as many different spaces as we do here at Penybanc.
We can accommodate you and up to sixty four of your guests across a fantastic range of structures and buildings. Our converted smithy is the largest of our roofed accommodation comfortably housing nineteen guests. The Byre sleeps up to six across two bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a spacious open kitchen and lounge.
Our glamping options include our luxury converted 1964 Leyland Titan double decker bus. We have six secluded Yurts and a Geodome. The Hopshack, an upcycled caravan, has a veranda overlooking the heart of our organic produce garden. Each with their own private space. Our cosy Caban Bach is a beautiful little two berth cabin tucked away in the corner of our wildflower meadow.
We have eight camping pitches mowed each year in a wild flower meadow and electric hookups on flat land for up to four motorhomes or camper vans.
Whatever you or your guests’ budget we have stunning spaces for them to stay.
Ceridwen House
Ceridwen is a huge, warm, comfortable stone-and-slate house, frequently described as Tardis-like by visitors (!), found on the site of the old smithy and stables. With eight bedrooms, sleeping 19 people, Ceridwen offers the opportunity for large multi-generation groups, or families holidaying together, to be together and to do their own thing.
Our Farm
Our family-run, organic eco farm is in a beautiful part of west Wales, surrounded by nature. Leave your heels and city suits behind; bring torches; look up at the stars; start to unwind and accept our different pace of life.
We are in a quiet part of north Carmarthenshire, off the beaten track but only 30 minutes away from the beautiful Cardigan coastline, forests, and popular tourist spots.
During your stay why not take a stroll through our baby woodland – we planted 4000 trees when we first moved here 20 years ago. Chill in the hammocks, at the Tipi meadow, soaking in the sunset and listening to the immense birdsong. Your evenings can be spent around the fire pit, watching out for our resident tawny owls.
The farm animals always like to have a fuss made of them. Our donkeys, Honey and Treacle, live across the road by the orchard. Our pet sheep, Gwillym & Gwyneth, reside by the Bus and Hopshack. We have several dogs onsite too, Mr T, Tricksy, Pablo, Jenny, and Dody.. all are very friendly. There are farm cats to spot too- some live in the polytunnels, and others live with us. Last but not least we have a pond, by the main reception with fish and our newts.
We are always on hand to help make your break away a memorable one. It may be that you wish to have a locally sourced breakfast or BBQ pack in your accommodation ready for arrival. To add to the hot tub experience, a couple of bottles of Prosecco on ice could be for you. We can also make up organic seasonal veg & fruit boxes from our kitchen garden.
