Danesfield House Hotel & Spa - Dog Friendly Hotel Marlow, Buckinghamshire

Danesfield House that we see today was completed in 1901 as a family home for Robert William Hudson. The house stands amidst 65 acres of formal gardens with outstanding views over the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills beyond.

Staying with us
No two rooms are the same at Danesfield House. Each one of our 60 beautiful bedrooms and suites has been individually designed to make your stay unique. Some are bespoke finished with traditional country house fittings and fixtures, including sumptuously soft and comfortable four-poster beds. Others enjoy breathtaking views out over the meandering River Thames, while others are designed to a more contemporary style, offering extra space laid out over two floors. We welcome dogs at a charge of £25.00 per dog per night.

The Orangery (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
An ‘Orangery’ was a building frequently found in the grounds of fashionable residences from the 17th to the 19th Century and given a classical architectural form. The Orangery was similar to a greenhouse or conservatory. The name reflects the original use of the buildings as a place where citrus trees were often wintered in tubs under cover, surviving through harsh frosts though not expected to flower and fruit. Put simply, one of the finest views of the River Thames and the Chilterns you will see whilst dining.

Cocktail Bar
The Cocktail Bar is the perfect place for a drink before or after your meal, a light lunch or evening bar snack. The drinks menu includes Classic Cocktails as well as some signature cocktails. It also includes a vast selection of whisky and digestives. The bar menu offers sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips and more and all the classics.....

Spa Illuminata Danesfield House invites you into a luxurious world of wellbeing where you can relax and unwind in its tranquil surroundings and indulge in an unrivalled range of face and body treatments.

Our team of dedicated and experienced staff provide a warm welcome from the moment you arrive, which sets the tone for the spa’s relaxed and informal ‘come as you are’ atmosphere.

All hotel residents are invited to use the spa’s stunning facilities, which include a fully equipped Matrix gym stocked with the latest fitness equipment. There is also a wide range of range of fitness classes on offer and an Osteopathy clinic once a week. Loungers around the 20m azure blue swimming pool offer the perfect place to unwind after a strenuous work out and guests can also rest and rejuvenate in the spa’s poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
