Shieling Holidays Mull - Dog Friendly Camping on the Isle of Mull, Argyll and Bute

A beautiful shore front, family and dog friendly campsite, with views up Loch Linnhe to Ben Nevis, and a warm welcome for you and your caravan, camper or tent. Dogs with responsible owners are welcome on site by prior arrangement and can be walked freely along the enchanting coastline, or local forestry walks. We are ideally situated for strolling to the ferry, pub, shop, hotel, local cafes, as well as buses for Tobermory and Fionnphort, where you can catch a ferry to the isle of Iona (or boat trips to Staffa). Craignure is the ideal base for touring the whole of Mull.

On the lower park you will find reception, the main facilities, and pitches for caravans, campers, trailers and tents, with cars alongside where space permits. In the glorious top field are most of the tent pitches, cottages and, new in 2022, our Unique Glamping Chalets all with breath-taking views.

All the camper/caravan pitches are at sea level, convenient to the main facilities, and all have hard-standing and optional hook-up.

Astroturf pitches are provided to keep you and your tent warm and free of mud, just like a fitted carpet. We will lend you a mallet and heavy duty pegs if you need them. No more bare patches in the grass.

Please also note that our out-sized tent pitches (anything over 4m x 4m) are limited, are only available on the top field and don't all offer hook-up.

We will not guarantee specific pitches, as pitches may require reallocation for logistical reasons. Final allocations will be made on day of arrival and we will try our utmost to accommodate requests where possible.

Included in your price is full use of our facilities, including lovely hot showers, dish-washing facilities with plenty hot water. and clothes drying in the drying tents. Tokens for laundrette (cold wash only) tumble drier and detergent can be purchased from reception.

Unique Glamping Chalets

Our unique Glamping Chalets are fully insulated and kitted out like a Holiday Cottage. Each unique Glamping Chalet sleeps up to 6 persons utilising a double bedroom, twin bedroom and additional bedding in the form of 2 single occasional sofa beds in the living area. Enjoy the comforts of a well-appointed kitchen and dining area with everything you would expect including fridge with integrated freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster. The gas central heating system will keep you cosy after a long walk, fishing trip or a busy day wildlife watching on the Island.
Perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life, the Glamping Chalet is a perfect solution for those wishing a break. Don’t panic though – free WiFi and digital television are supplied as standard should you need it!

When staying onsite, you can cook and eat in the Shieling Common Room, located on the top field, or in the pot washing facility on the lower park. On chillier evenings, you can sit by the smokeless fuel stove in the Shieling Common Room. A scuttle of smokeless fuel can be purchased at reception.
