Cottages
Nevis Cottage, the larger of the two is on the right and Cruachan Cottage is on the left. These family friendly cottages were built in the 80's in a traditional "but-and- ben" style to match the landscape. On the seaward side, you can sit outside in seclusion and admire the magnificent views towards Ben Nevis. It is ever so quiet and peaceful. You may see otters from your window and there is a seal colony nearby. Dolphins occasionally visit and swim with the ferry as it passes by.

We are very keen to help you enjoy your holiday. Reception is a great source of brochures, guides and maps and we will gladly advise on all the things to do and see on Mull.

Stroll to the ferry, pub, cafe, shop and Post Office, tourist information centre, and buses for Tobermory and Iona (or Staffa boat trips). Glorious walks to the swimming pool or Duart Castle. Pony trekking and 9 hole golf are close by. An ideal base for exploring the whole island.

On the landward side, there is parking by your cottage, with access to campfire, swing, sandpit, Shieling Common Room and Games Shieling with a pool table and table tennis. Dogs welcome, on lead on site, but off lead along the enchanting coastline or local forestry walks.

Unique Glamping Chalets 

Brand new in 2022 our unique Glamping Chalets are situated on our top field and have an incredible outlook over the sea.  They are located on an elevated spot within Sheiling Holidays Mull offering breath taking panoramic views towards Oban and the Sound of Mull, through Ben Cruachan and up Loch Linnhe.  On a clear day the summit of Ben Nevis is a spectacular sight.  

Our unique Glamping Chalets, which look like a canvas Shieling Tent from the outside, are solid built, fully insulated and kitted out like a Holiday Cottage.  Each unique Glamping Chalet sleeps up to 6 persons utilising a double bedroom, twin bedroom and additional bedding in the form of 2 single occasional sofa beds.  Enjoy the comforts of a well-appointed kitchen and dining area with everything you would expect including fridge with integrated freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster.  The gas central heating system will keep you cosy after a long walk, fishing trip or a busy day wildlife watching on the Island.   

Perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life, the Glamping Chalet is a perfect solution for those wishing a break.  Don’t panic though – free WiFi and digital television are supplied as standard should you need it!

We currently have eight Glamping Chalets in service, with a further four more one-bedroom Glamping Chalets sleeping 2 + 2 planned by 2024.  Early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

When staying in your Tents, you can cook and eat in the Shieling Common Room, located on the top field, or in the pot washing facility on the lower park. On chillier evenings, you can sit by the smokeless fuel stove in the Shieling Common Room. A scuttle of smokeless fuel can be purchased at reception.
