The Grounds
Rhoscolyn Beacon, on the rocks so popular with cormorants, enlivens the view out to the Irish Sea from many of The Point's windows. 'The Point' sits in tranquil isolation, but a second entrance gives quick access to the main Rhoscolyn beaches. Many things of interest may be found in the grounds, from wildlife to caves and rocks to sea creatures in the many rock-pools... and a very private little beach.
The sky can sometimes look enormous at 'The Point' and the new Dining Room extension is a glorious place to eat while enjoying the view - especially at sunset. The grounds of The Point are colourful year-round, and are managed to encourage the variety of wild flowers and animal-life. Part of The Point is SSSI, because it is one of the few un-grazed areas of coastal heathland on Anglesey - and because of the rare seaweed and the rock exposures. It is also a handy place to launch canoes!
