Rattray Head - Dog Friendly Beach in Rattray Head, Aberdeenshire
Rattray Head and it's lighthouse stand in front of the dunes and the Loch of Strathbeg, with its nature reserve.
This wild section of Aberdeenshire's coast attracts walkers and nature lovers, who are drawn to the varied wildlife in the area.
The loch is a Special Protection Area, administered by the RSPB, forming naturally during a 1720 storm, which detached it from the beach and the sea.
