Some Facts
The basis to most outdoor behaviour problems derive from re-call issues. If we have recall, we have the the answer to 90% of unwanted behaviour on walks from nuisance jumping up to eating feaces.

Dogs being a pack animal, descend from the wolf pack. The basic instinct still remains, you can take the dog from the wolf pack, but you can’t take the wolf from the dog.

“I contacted Pawsative Choices as my XL Bully was aggressive to visitors and very protective, also dragging me along on the lead, I literally had to hang on to trees and lampposts just to keep control of her as she was so reactive towards other Dogs. The difference in her now after 3 sessions is remarkable, walks like a dream at my side with a loose lead and passing other dogs calmly. Would definitely recommend this service.”

“We contacted Dave when our puppy Yuki started showing problem behaviour. He fit us in quickly and gave us straightforward instructions on how to deal with Yuki's behaviour. After only a few days of implementing his strategies, Yuki was much calmer. We've kept working at it and Yuki is now much better at heel walking too! We have also used Dave's home boarding service. He and his wife look after Yuki as if she is their own puppy! She loves going there; she gets lots of fuss and two walks a day! Dave also sends us plenty of pictures, videos and messages while Yuki is there so we can have peace of mind knowing she is happy and well looked after. Would definitely recommend this service!”

“Amazing! My dog has become a more calmer dog and is not trying to chew everything anymore.”

“I can't thank Dave enough for the work he has done with our Belgian Malinois, Zeus. Before Pawsative Choices I couldn't sweep, hoover, dust, move furniture; I couldn't take Zeus out without him reacting to other dogs and to make things worse, after 18 months Zeus decided he didn't want to obey any commands anymore and was basically running riot. In desperation we first went to a 'Malinois expert' who told my husband our dog doesn't respect us and we should have beat him when he was younger. This is not an exaggeration, this was actual advice my husband ended up paying for. This 'expert' continued with telling us we'd need to send Zeus away for residential training and our best bet would be to sell him to a security firm. We were both so upset and didn't know what to do. I felt like there was a good dog inside our boy and didn't think sending him away was the best option. Fortunately, this is when we met Dave. After crying on the phone to him for about an hour, Dave assured me that violence is never an appropriate route for training and he would help us. Still, I was apprehensive. We had seen trainers before who had said they couldn't help, he was often labelled as "too much" so what could this man do. However, I wasn't prepared to give up just yet. And I'm so glad I didn't. After just one session with Dave and a couple of weeks consistently employing the techniques he taught us, we saw a huge difference. everything Dave said just made sense and it has worked like a dream. Overall we had 3 sessions with Dave; he is very conscientious about taking your money unnecessarily and encourages you to do the work yourself and build that bond appropriately. Now, Zeus is a different dog. He's still the snuggley, fun loving pup we love but is also obedient and not as reactive. I can finally clean the house without shutting him in the garden, only for him to throw himself against the patio doors trying to get back in! He walks on a lead! His recall is back! And all friends and family who were growing wary of his behaviour have remarked on how well behaved he is, which is always nice to hear. In fact, one friend said he's much better than her 2 and she considers him a well trained dog! This was music to my ears and made me feel so proud of the work we put in. Thank you Dave, we couldn't have done it ”

“This guy is amazing!!!! We had seperation anixety issues with our dog, as well as walking on the lead such as pulling, not listening, not going in the direction I wanted her to go. She and the situation was a nightmare. I was very close to giving up and re-homing our dog as I was failing. David's training programme was brilliant, no nonsence, no fuss and quick results. Our dog Lily now walks to heel and I am able to leave the room with her settled. Wish I tried sooner with David, the service is worth every penny”

“Our dogs aged 6 and 9 years we believed to be untrainable. They barked at everyone and everything, heaven forbid a leaf falling from the tree! They had to be walked separately as they would want to bark and fight any dog they encountered on their journey. The Krays of the canine world! We finally realised we had to do something and along came David. Three sessions later and we have taken back control, friends and family are commenting on the change. David has trained us to be the Alpha and it’s working. It is still a working progress but David has given us the tools to make the changes. Honestly can’t recommend David enough, worth every penny for our stress free home.”
