Our two, self-catering holiday cottages offer a true ‘escape to the country’, surrounded by beautiful farmland, meadows and stunning un-spoilt, Somerset countryside, yet with easy access to the golden sands of England’s west-coast beaches.

The cottages at Lower Farm House make a fantastic holiday destination all year round and are in an attractive village location. The original farmhouse has been traced back to the late 1600s. which is no longer part of a working farm. Attached are two, family friendly self-catering holiday cottages. Off road parking is available adjacent to the cottages and dogs are welcome with prior arrangement.

Horseshoe Cottage  (sleeps 2)
This cottage has 1 bedroom and sleeps 2. The accommodation is all on the ground floor.
It is fully double glazed and the electric centrally controlled heating is at no extra charge.
The large, comfortable lounge has a wide-screen, digital TV and DVD player, Free WiFi.
Books and games for adults and children, and many information leaflets and suggestions for places to visit and for walking a dog.
There is 1 bedroom, which can be made up as a King or Twin room. The fully fitted kitchen has a washer-dryer and microwave. The spacious bathroom has a bath with shower over and even has an original bread proving oven which was found as the cottage was renovated.

Horseshoe Cottage is basically level. Wheelchair access is possible, but there are two small steps in the corridor (about 3 inches, one up and one down).
In addition to the large front garden, there is a small private enclosed garden with patio furniture, so that you can enjoy this cottage tranquil position outside during the warmer months.

Apple Cottage (sleeps 3)
A delightful ‘upside-down’ holiday cottage, having magnificent views over the fields to the village from its first floor balcony lounge. Apple Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 3. It is fully double glazed and the electric centrally controlled heating is at no extra charge.

On the ground floor there are two bedrooms (one double and one single) and a bathroom with bath (with shower over) and a toilet. There is a separate cloakroom with toilet and washbasin and a fully fitted kitchen with microwave, washer dryer, dishwasher and a dining-room.

There is a wide-screen, digital TV, DVD player, Free WiFi, books and games for adults and children, and many information leaflets and suggestions for places to visit and for walking a dog.
Although the lounge is upstairs, the rest of the cottage is on the ground floor and there are two tubchairs in the dining area downstairs, there is also a small private enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage.

Local Area
Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea and Brean Sands are just a fifteen minute drive from the cottages whilst Cheddar Caves and Gorge, Wookey Hole, Longleat Safari Park and Exmoor National Park are a short journey. Situated less than five miles from a great variety of pubs, restaurants and take-aways dining out poses no problem!

The village of Lympsham is just ½ mile away, a leisurely stroll, with a village shop open daily stocked with everyday items, This is next to Lympsham Pavilion, The Cafe at the Pavilion is open during the day Monday to Saturday from 8.30am - 4pm offering delicious breakfasts and lunchtime meals and snacks, you can sit outside during the summer months and watch cricket on the green, Lympsham Pavilion is also licensed and the bar is open every evening during the week and from 12pm weekends.

Why not book a tennis court for an hour at the village sports club? There are excellent golf courses in the area and both coarse and sea fishing are available locally.
