Reviews

“We were so sorry to receive this sad review from Amanda. We did try our very best to please her but it was difficult. Some of the issues raised are actually incorrect... the missing kitchen utensil was a bottle opener for caps and in fact it was part of the cork bottle opener which she hadn't noticed. The same goes for the matches and gloves which were actually there in a box. We feel saddest about the "noisy fan sound" which was in fact because they had inadvertently left a hot tap dripping ever so slightly in either the kitchen or bathroom, and this kept asking the electric powered heater to switch on and off.... really unfortunate. It is all such a shame - our team don't even come into work until 8.30am so I don't know how they heard anything so early.. We did try to address the issues face to face so we could help the situation but it was impossible. We feel the cottage was really clean and most people love it but nonetheless it is a source of regret that we were unable to please Amanda,”

“We had a disappointing stay on the whole. The cottage needs updating and painting. Lack of utensils in kitchen. Dirty frying pan and baking trays. No matches or fire glove to go with the woodburner. Noisy cleaners at 8am in the morning. No ordinary TV. Noisy fan like sound from bathroom which kept us awake. Empty beer bottle outside the cottage when we arrived. Not value for money. Won't be returning.”
