Where you can find a treasured, personal space whether that's inside, curled up in a cosy, fireside corner, or outside, finding your inner peace in a quiet spot in our shady woodland or strolling through our colourful gardens.

Staying with pets
There's no need to leave your dog behind, Rufflets has everything you need to make your stay here easy-peasy. We're expecting waggy tails from the moment you arrive! All of our four-legged guests receive a welcome pack on arrival and various items such as drying towels, leads, bowls and beds are available to borrow from Reception (subject to availability).

As well as 10 acres of private gardens to stroll around, we can also show you where to go for some longer countryside romps and the famous St Andrews beaches. You can pick from four dog-friendly bedrooms and our self-catering lodges are also ideal for dogs.

We charge an extra £10 per night per dog, with a maximum of two dogs per booking.

There are four dog-friendly bedrooms within our external accommodations situated 60 seconds walk from the main hotel building. Dogs are not permitted in any of the other bedrooms so it's always best to book direct with us to ensure that your furry friend can join you. Dogs are permitted in the public areas of the main hotel (excluding the restaurant and Drawing Room), and are most welcome to join if you want to dine outside on the terrace.

If you need to head out and leave your dog behind, we can organise a doggie day care service for you.

Rufflets Woodland Suites
Stunning luxury Woodland Suites, nestled in the tranquillity of the hotel's leafy grounds, are now available to enjoy. Each individually designed and decorated suite is completely self-contained within a double brace shepherd hut, and features a private deck with wonderful views of the beautiful natural landscape.

Lovingly crafted in Somerset by Blackdown Shepherd Huts Ltd, each suite and it's bespoke interior takes up to 550 hours of work to complete, using only the highest quality materials.  Blackdown bring their years of experience to each project and will be working with Rufflets to create shepherd huts that are inspired by their historic Scottish location, and seamlessly marry the uniqueness of Rufflets as a stay experience together with the heritage feel that shepherd huts embody.

Eat & Drink
Experience wellbeing through nourishing food. Our garden and produce are at the very heart of every meal. We encourage every guest to connect with nature through their dining experience with us, which is why we have created social and dining spaces on our terraces and in our gardens, as well as inside the hotel.

From the vegetables, to the fruit trees, organic eggs and even Rufflets' very own honey. We want our guests to be part of this story too, so we invite you to dine outside, in the sunshine, or under the stars. Meander through our kitchen gardens and pick a handful of mint leaves for your herbal tea, or pluck a sun-warm apple from the tree.

Hunker down for the night in a cosy corner, next to a roaring fire and enjoy a tipple from our extensive whisky selection. We have more than 100 malt whiskies and 40 gins, and our team will be delighted to help you to select your perfect dram.
