Hafan Bach Holiday Cottage - Dog Friendly Cottage in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire

Our dog-friendly cottages are the perfect base for your Welsh adventure, conveniently situated halfway between Carmarthen and Llanelli in Carmarthenshire.

Hafan Bach is a spacious and comfortable cottage with a very relaxing feel. The cottage sleeps 5, in 1 king-size bedroom, 1 double and one single. The Master bedroom with a king-size bed overlooks the garden and has a large wardrobe, chair, chest of drawers with mirror, bedside drawers and lamps, TV, fan, and hairdryer.

The second bedroom, with a view of Kidwelly castle, has a double bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail, bedside tables with lamps, rocking chair, and TV. The third bedroom is a single room, Castle view, with chest of drawers, chair, bedside drawers and lamp.

Upstairs there is a shower room with toilet, sink with mirror over and vanity unit which has a shaver socket for charging toothbrushes, etc. There is also a heated towel rail.

The lounge is at the front of the cottage with views of the stunning Kidwelly Castle. The lounge has a TV (Freeview) Amazon firestick, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, comfy leather sofas, electric wood burner effect fire and Welsh dresser with a selection of games, etc, we also supply throws for the sofas so your dogs can snuggle with you.

There is a small utility room with a washing machine, tumble drier, hoover, ironing board, Iron, and broom.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher (tablets provided) large range cooker with electric ovens and gas hob, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle, cafetiere, and teapot. We have tried to think of everything you may need in terms of utensils etc but please feel free to message and check we have what you may need.

The kitchen and dining area are open plan with french doors opening out into the garden, a dining table with church pew, and chairs. TV with DVD and also a bookshelf with a selection of books, here you will also find lots of useful leaflets of attractions, etc in the area and a Kidwelly walking pack which has useful maps, etc. The kitchen and dining area have quarry tiled floor, there is a large mat inside the french doors.

The garden is a lovely relaxing space with a seating area and undercover BBQ. The garden is enclosed and dog friendly, there is also an arbor seat at the end of the garden perfect for relaxing with a book or glass of wine.

The downstairs bathroom has a large bath and shower over.

There is unrestricted on-street parking right outside the cottage.

Location
There are shops, pubs, and takeaways all within easy walking distance and lovely walks including Cymer canal, Kidwelly Quay, and the footpath below the 900-year-old Kidwelly Castle. There is a choice of dog-friendly cafes, Time for Tea, Kidwelly Deli, the gatehouse, and Parc Y Bocs farm shop, home to Burns dog food.

The stunning 8-mile long blue flag Cefn Sidan beach & Pembrey country park are a short car drive away as are Ffos las racecourse, Pembrey motor circuit & Glyn Abbey golf course. Carmarthenshire is known as the garden of Wales and is home to the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, 25 mins from Kidwelly and well worth a visit at any time of year, Monday at the gardens is doggy day..
